High Level Position Summary
The Head of School will have overall responsibility for all matters related to the school and will be the final sign-off at the school level.
The Head of School will be a visionary leader who will exercise an ethical and moral leadership to develop the school into a school of choice in Dar es Salaam, improving the positioning of the school in the market by enhancing academic, co- curricular, sports and leadership program as well as developing a school culture that emphasizes ethics and values, pluralism, spirituality and excellence.
Completed Master’s degree in Education from a reputable, accredited university; and two year’s relevant work experience thereafter.
At least five years’ experience, with demonstrable achievements of leading a Grade 6-12 reputable international school; the experience and drive to lead an intense school improvement and change process and resilience when experiencing difficulties inherent in an emerging system;
IBDP training done over the past three years related to leadership, management & evaluations
IBDP training done over the past three years training for TOK, Extended Essay
IBDP training done over the past three years for programme leader
Proven track record in the effective and efficient management of fiscal and human resources;
Experience with the International Baccalaureate Curriculum Diploma Programme and / or the IGCSE;
Excellent team-building skills, with proven experience in leading, motivating and empowering teams;
Experience in Africa is desirable
