The National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Tanzania plans to hire a Cashier for her headquarters which is located in Dar Es Salaam.
Professional Qualifications
Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting
Advanced Diploma in Accounting
Certificates in Accounting
or related field
Competencies
Knowledge of Microsoft excel and other office programs
Ability to write and speak English
Personal Qualities
Competent
Trustworthy
Careful and accurate
Analytical
Diligent in following up on outstanding advances and expense reports
Able to get work done on time
Good work ethic (shows up to work on time, gets along with others, gets work done on time, able to work without close supervision)
Key Responsibilities;
· Prepare fund requests
· Write payment, receipt vouchers and journal vouchers
· Manage office float
· Scan important finance and tax documents
· Prepare monthly contribution reports.
· Deposit and withdraw fund from the bank and do bank/phone transfers
· Send WhatsApp and SMS to communities on contributions goals/progress
· Develop materials and conduct fund education
· Maintain and update a list of checks approved and Fund requisition
· Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers.
· Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
· Answer customers’ questions, and provide information on procedures or policies.
· Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions.
· Pay company bills by cash, vouchers, or checks etc.
· Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and records.
· Monitor office safe, ensuring available documents and funds are staffed appropriately.
· Assist with capacity building on retirement and fund education.
· Carry on other duties assigned
