Serene Microfinance Ltd exceptionally stands as good example due to the unique contribution in reaching many categories of customers in Tanzania with  micro-loans whose operations are in many parts of Dar es Salaam City, the nearby Regions and all over  Tanzania Regions.In an effort to stream line operations, Serene Microfinance LTD seeks to recruit qualified Loan Officer to be part of credit team to ensure business development.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR LOAN RECOVERY OFFICER Loan Officer duties and responsibilities 

• Maintain an active knowledge base of all of the Microfinance’s loan products and an understanding  of the qualifications required of each applicant
• To build and maintain a substantial and high-quality loan portfolio
• To conduct members/customers recruitment and screening
• To orient clients to the particular loan products and services.
• To analyze applicants’ financial status, credit and property evaluation and determine feasibility of  granting loans and ensuring loan repayments after disbursement
• Make a regular contact with the customers and clients in field.
• To prepare and present loan report timely (Daily, Weekly and Monthly )
• Ensure Loan collection is done based on procedures and loan agreement
• Keep tracking of outstanding loans and ensure loan recovery is done based on policies and  procedures.
• Update account status and database regularly
• Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable
• Handle customers’ questions or complaints
• Negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans as directed by your supervisor
• Identify gaps in the system and recommend solutions

Loan Recovery Officer Requirements / Skills / Qualifications 

• Knowledge of relevant legal requirements for loan disbursement /collection/recovery ∙ Skills/knowledge for screening customer before loan disbursement
• Marketing skills
• Customer care skills
• Good negotiation and persuasion skills
• Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Excellent Communication (both written and spoken) in English & Swahili

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES 

• Holder of University Degree or equivalent qualification in business administration,  Finance or any other related field
• A t least two year experience in a similar position.
