For this reason we choose ‘&Beyonders’ very carefully – they are the strength and the future of this company.Key OutputsOverall management for &Beyond Grumeti River Lodge, including operations, guest experience, R&M, kitchen, financial and staff management and developmentDirect line management responsibility for the Grumeti River Lodge senior management team and indirectly for a team of staffBudget and forecast creation, management and control in conjunction with the Lodge Administrator and the Regional Finance Manager. Management of the camp CAPEX programsHuman capital management and staff developmentInfrastructure – development and maintenance of all infrastructureIT – maintenance ITSecurity – security, emergency response and fire controlHealthcare – reviewing healthcare facilities and evacuation arrangementsEnvironmental health – waste, sanitation, mosquito and pest controlLogistics – camp moving, set up and take downGovernment – liaison with local, regional and national Government and relevant stakeholders in conjunction with the Regional Manager. Compliance with local licensing, permits etc.Conservation – working with the Africa Foundation in conservation and community projects and partnerships arrangementsSustainability – responsible for ensuring sustainability targets are met and improved upon year on yearRisk Assessment – ensure lodge is risk assessment compliantLodge Marketing – management of the camp social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, etc. Ensure regular stories to the andBeyond team are distributed and that Grumeti River Lodge maintains a strong presence in internal comms (Bateleur Mag, etc)Must be willing to travel to and from the various camps and Lodges.HOSPITALITYBuild upon the existing guest experience to create new ideas and to ensure the product remains fresh and modern, whilst staying true to the history of the area – this includes guest delights, accommodation, food, staff, activitiesBuilding relationships with new and repeat guestsMaintaining and reinforcing an environment where the &Beyond Golden Thread and Brand Standards are continuously met and visible throughout the daily functioning of the property.Ensure camp to do lists are actioned and completed (within budget)Maximise efficiencies in procurementKnowledge RequiredAt least 3 – 5 years Management Experience in a 5-star boutique operationLodge and Camp management experience an advantageHospitality and Service Training ExperienceSkills RequiredEnergetic, proactive person with well-developed concept of the importance of providing a world-class guest experience, and the ability to provide that experiencePassionate about sustainable tourism and conservationDriven, energetic, compassionate and ambitious, with strong leadership and mentoring skills.Unrelenting attention to detail and high standardsStructured manager with experience of leading diverse teamsPractical with some experience of maintenanceExperience in mobile camping and safaris advantageousOpen minded and able to think outside of the boxThe ability to motivate and inspire yourself and othersExcellent interpersonal skills and communicationCompetent financial and IT skillsFluent in English essentialTERMS AND CONDITIONSMedical and travel allowance as per andBeyond policyThis is a permanent live-in position.We reserve the right not to make an appointment.CLICK HERE TO APPLY
