Ipalamwa Clinic

Ipalamwa General Clinic is a vital part of the Reaching Children’s Potential (RCP) program, implemented in partnership between Global Volunteers and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (KKKT) – Iringa Diocese. This unique program aims to combat stunting and malnutrition among young children in villages in Ukwega Ward, Kilolo District, Iringa Region. The clinic has been a cornerstone of community health, significantly contributing to a reduction in stunting rates by more than 57 percent over four years, according to a 2023 study by the Tanzania Food and Nutrition Center (TFNC). Through its primary health services, maternal and child care, emergency services, and the recent launch of surgical services in 2025, Ipalamwa General Clinic continues to serve as a model of success in improving the lives and well-being of rural communities.
