AUTOXPRESS Tanzania is seeking applications from competent, dynamic, and self-motivated individuals to fill up the following position.
Position (2): Retail Customer Service Assistant
Job Location: Dar es Salaam
Today, AutoXpress has 7 retail outlets across Tanzania in Dar Es Salaam, Arusha, and Mwanza with plans to open new branches over the next 3–5 years. This is a training position leading to the position of retail customer service executive. This position is primarily responsible for welcoming retail customers both in person and by telephone to the branch, responding to their inquiries, introducing them to the company’s products, and providing information to support their purchasing decisions. The role also ensures exceptional customer service while maximizing the company’s profitability.
3.1. Familiarize yourself with the company profile.
3.2. Learn the technical details and features of the products and services that the company offers.
3.3. Welcome customers to the branch (either in person or over the phone).
3.4. Enquire about and understand the customer’s needs and requirements.
3.5. Recommend and select the right products to suit the customer’s requirements.
3.6. Explain the products’ technical features and benefits to the customer; you may also need to demonstrate their use and operation.
3.7. Cross-sell other products by highlighting their benefits in relation to the products being purchased.
3.8. Offer the correct value propositions to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
3.9. Liaise with the Stores and Workshop departments to ensure that the correct goods and services are provided efficiently and on time.
3.10. Upon completion of the transaction, ensure that accurate documentation is completed and payment is collected.
3.11. Develop rapport with customers to encourage future business.
3.12. Thank customers for their patronage and provide them with contact details.
3.13. Follow up with customers after an appropriate period to find out if they are satisfied with the products and services. Communicate their feedback to the Branch Manager and resolve any complaints they may have.
3.14. Communicate any introduction of new products, services, or special offers to customers.
3.15. Inform management of customer requirements that are not currently available (for example, taking pictures of the vehicle and the required part).
3.16. Maintain the confidentiality of customer information at all times.
3.17. Perform any other duties that may be required.
3.18. Ensure all vehicles entering the workshop have an inspection checklist before invoicing.
3.19. Go through the inspection checklist with customers and ensure they understand the contents.
4.1. Learn all commercial and technical features of the company’s products and services.

4.5. Personable approach to ensure a good relationship with customers and colleagues.
4.6. Following instructions and procedures.
5.1. Degree in sales and marketing.
5.2. At least 1 year working experience in a similar position in the automobile industry or 2 years’ work experience in customer service or marketing.
5.3. Interest in automobile mechanics is advantageous.
5.4. Computer literacy in MS Office.
