SHANTA MINING IS HIRING – PROCUREMENT OFFICER Location: Singida Gold Mine,Work Schedule: 42 Days On / 21 Days OffReports To: Procurement SuperintendentRole OverviewThe Procurement Officer will play a key role in supporting procurement operations by managing purchasing activities, overseeing contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This position will assist in preparing tender and contract documentation, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations. The role also involves tracking supplier performance, resolving procurement discrepancies, and optimizing procurement processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Key Responsibilities Ensure procurement operations comply with government regulations, company policies, and industry standards Convert Stock and Non-stock Requisitions into Purchase Orders (POs) with minimal risk Expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery by suppliers within agreed lead times Process and release approved POs to suppliers in a timely manner Ensure suppliers deliver as per agreed timelines Manage non-conformances and discrepancies in delivery, ensuring timely resolution Prepare procurement reports, correspondence, and presentations Maintain active communication with suppliers and internal teams for order status updates Adhere to Shanta Gold’s occupational health, safety, and environmental policiesQualifications Degree/Diploma in Commerce, Law (LLB), Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations Experience in mining or construction industries is an advantage Proficiency in MS Word & Excel Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsHow to ApplyApplication Deadline: 5th April 2025Submit your CV, certificates, and cover letter to recruitment@shantagoldltd.com with the subject line “Procurement Officer Application.”If you do not receive feedback within 14 days after the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.Join us and contribute to the success of Shanta Gold’s procurement operations!
