Position: IT: Infrastructure Engineer Role purpose: The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all technology infrastructures which includes data center, network (LAN & WAN) and server services, telephony, service monitoring, user support, servers, storage, backup, Service Continuity and Shops and partner connectivity. This position is operationally responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and security of all IT systems and infrastructure.

| Responsibilities | Key accountabilities1.Responsible for day-to-day system administration, including management ofinternal network (LAN, WAN, DMZ), VPN, server storage and system backups. Monitor, diagnose and resolve problems with key IT systems to ensure systems work efficiently.2.Responsible for shops and partner network connectivity3.Recognize problems, develop recommendations and solutions, and oversee correction within assigned specialty4.Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and support new and existing systems, networks, and software.5.Monitoring these operating environments.6.Ensure that regular backups on supported servers are performed according to the plan7.Conducts testing and analysis of all components of network and server infrastructure.8.Ensure that projects are executed within scope and deliverables are met by liaising effectively with Project Managers and the business.9.Ensure that documentation of server configurations, local area networks and any changes to the configuration/network design is carried out.10.Documenting all reported malfunctions and actions taken in response. |
